I updated Picasa to the latest version recently and suddenly it seems to display photos from both the Originals and Modified folders in the iPhoto Library package. Why is this suddenly happening? Is this a known issue?
This situation led me to realize that a good quarter or so of my iPhoto photos have modified versions. I have NEVER modified a photo on my Mac. Not in iPhoto, not in Picasa, and not in any other app. Why do I have so many photos in my iPhoto Library Modified folder? I compared a few originals with their respective modified versions and there doesn't seem to be any apparent differences other than a slight reduction in file size for the modified versions.
For the record, I am on OS 10.5.8, iPhoto '08, and Picasa 3.6.2.
