im having a problem with iphoto

i bought tiger when it came out and installed it...

ive never had either iLife '04 or '05...

because i never had those i was still using iphoto 2...i dont do a lot of photo work so having iphoto 2 never hindered me.

all these things put together means that when i did an erase and install of tiger, it wiped out my iphoto 2...

i want to use it to import my photos but i dont really want to go out and buy iLife '05 right now...

my question is where can i get iphoto 2 from?? can i get it off of my software restore disc? im looking at the applications included on the disc and not seeing anything...

any help would be appreciated...

your applications restore disc should have it included on there. You could try Pacifist if that is the only app that you are looking for.

come to think of it...

i dont have iMovie either...

i made all the files unhidden, but im not seeing anything

well none of them are/were included with Tiger, so when you did the erase & install they were lost. have you tried using your Software Restore cd? i would just let it restore all applications and the versions of iLife that came with your mac should be reinsalled

the problem is that tiger broke the ability of the software restore program to restore the software...

however i was able to view hidden files and navigated to the restore package...

it says it does not restore itunes, imovie, iphoto, mac osx, blah blah blah...

it says i need to get it off the discs that the OS came on...

however this is the same disc and i dont want to re-install jaguar (the original OS that came with the computer)

hmmm...

That's where Pacifist comes in. As PlaceofDis says, it'll allow you to use these files. :)

Good luck with it. I've never personally had to use it, but I hear it's pretty good. :)

thanks,
