a simulacrum
in iPhoto, when you delete an album, it doesn't delete the actual photos from your Library.
when you have many files in your Library and you really want to delete the ones you've groupped together in an album, is there a way to actuall do that?
it's not really helpful to delete the album and then go look for the pictures
one by one in your Library, especially when you have thousands in there.
thanks

Very good question. I've run across that problem too. Unfortunately I just dropped my mac off at the apple store so I can't play around with iPhot now and try to figure it out:(

Anyone?

You could use batch change on all the pics in the album, adding 'delete me' to the comments, then search for 'delete me' in you library and stick all the results in the trash.

i take it that's the only way it can be done then...
since no one else has posted any other way...
thanks, it'll have to do:rolleyes:
