Last month I updated my iPhoto- after I re opened iPhoto, it told me to restore from back up, but when I tried, it failed. I've found them once before but can't anymore-- where are my iPhoto picture files stored/hidden? NOT IN iPhoto library or iPhoto recovered files. They are hidden somewhere in user files (?) and library (?).. Anyone? Wondering if the new software update will fix this, but want to be sure I still have all mg pictures somewhere. Just backed up my computer.

Did YOU back them up? iPhoto doesn't do this automatically. If so, they would be where you backed them up.

Have you tried searching in Spotlight for "iPhoto Library" or even "iPhoto"?

Normally iPhoto stores pictures in a folder called "Pictures" in your "Home" folder.
