iPhoto rotate/printing to PDF issues

I would like to make a PDF file out of an iPhoto album, which works fine, but I have the following issues:

- some images are rotated (they're in the correct orientation when I view the album in iPhoto itself)
- some images are cropped (the entire images are shown when I view the photos in iPhoto itself)

Any solution to this?
