I am making a slideshow in iphoto. I have added the custom music that I want to, no problem. I have 8 songs added all play well until the 8th. It stops in the middle of the song and reverts back to the first one. I know there is nothing wrong with the music in itunes - any ideas?

I have the same problem. I have 8 songs in a playlist in iTunes. In iphoto slideshow, I click on music icon and select the playlist from iTunes. it all seems to go well until part way through the 3rd song and it reverts to the first song and plays through the first 3 songs again.

I have read lots of suggestions on similar questions on this forum and none of them are able to help me. I have even copied all the 8 songs to one track on garage band and blended them together, but still the slideshow music stops part way through the third song and starts again. It seems like it will only play for a certain timeframe before replaying. I am wondering if there is a setting that can be changed for the time frame of the music for the entire slideshow ie. 10 minutes or 15 minutes etc. I have done every thing except exporting to imovie, but surely there must be a way to do it in iphoto slideshows, it seems crazy the way it is. And it seems lots of people have this problem.

same problem with ONE song
The same thing has happened to me repeatedly with trying to match a single 4 minute Itunes song to a 4 minute slideshow -- the song (perfectly timed, if it would only play all the way through) breaks off 2/3 of the way through the slideshow and starts over. Maddening! This seems to be an IPhoto bug that needs attention. Any solutions out there?

iPhoto Glitch
Same problem here. Two songs in slideshow and it cuts back to first song 1/3 of the way into the second song. Pain in the butt. No way to correct it. It's random, too. I have another duplicate slideshow of same thing that doesn't do that. Only problem with that one is I can't get slides timed correctly. All slides play for approx. 5 secs, then one plays for 2 secs and the last one for 18 seconds. !?!?!?!?!

The slideshow runs for about 50 seconds and the music suddenly jumps back to the beginning. It keeps doing this every 50 seconds throughout the slide show. It is clearly not an iTunes fault, the music works perfectly there.
This has happened on more than one Mac and I have tried replacing/upgrading iPhoto. No change.
This makes the slideshow function of iPhoto totally useless for me, and it is one of my main uses for the Mac -
I buy Apple because (usually) they work.....?
