I have a slight problem. When I first got iphoto with my new mac (a month ago), I could highlight the sample music folder in the slideshow settings and it would play through the whole folder.

Now, when I highlight the folder, no music plays (yes, I do have the play music during slideshow box checked). The only way I can get music from this folder to play is to highlight an individual song, and then it just plays that song over and over in a loop, which is really annoying.

I can highlight playlists within my itunes library and it will play all the songs, but I can't do that anymore with the sample music folder - and last week I could. Was there a software update that changed the ability to play through the whole sample music folder? I actually like using that for slideshows as the songs are short and go with anything.

Is there a way to play all of the songs in the sample music folder without importing that folder into my itunes library and creating a playlist of those songs, or do I now have to move the sample folder over to itunes?

Thanks.

same here

Exactly the same thing just happened to me. I've been using
this feature regularly for years. Wondering if one of these recent
software updates broke it:
