So I've been using iPhoto to manage my pictures, I use most of the features involved. But as of lately iPhoto has been going very slow. It takes a while to load up, which I can understand given I have about 14,000 pictures in my Library.
What gets me is that while I use iPhoto, the program tends to freeze or becomes unresponsive. I notice that when I zoom into a picture to the max, the little color wheel appears almost indefinetaly. So I'm wondering if any other users are experiencing the same issue and what solution you guys can recommend.

P.S. I own a 13" Macbook Pro from early 2011, i5 with a 320 GBHDD, OS X Lion
