I have a issue with iPhoto on my Mac Mini that has been annoying me for a few weeks now. This appears to have started around the last OSX update that brought us the new Photos app.
Basically, when I launch iPhoto, I get the initial dark screen of the library and then the spinning wheel for around 30-40 seconds before the library with all the thumbnails finally appears. Before this, it was taking a couple of seconds.
I have gone through the iPhoto house keeping tasks on start up such as repairing permissions, rebuilding database etc. with no difference. I do not have iCloud enabled for iPhoto but I still disabled iCloud and re-enabled it again with no change. I have also performed a full time machine backup as I had read elsewhere but again no difference.
Does anyone have any tips to resolve this or how best to troubleshoot?
