I hope that maybe someone in the forums can lend a hand here, or at least acknowledge that I am not alone experiencing this problem.
I have recently upgraded from Tiger and iLife '06 to Leopard, iLife and iWork '09 via the boxed set deal. Everything seemed to go well until I launched iPhoto and was checking out the features. The straighten tool works intermittently. Sometimes when I work the slider the image will move in the viewer window as expected, but sometimes the grid will come up but the image just sits there. Oddly, when I zoom in on the image so the navigator pane comes up, I see that the image is moving properly in the navigator but not in the main window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Leopard twice and the iSuites 3 times. All updates are done. I have wiped the drive, reformatted and installed the OS and software from scratch. Ran the Apple Hardware Test plus Techtool and both report my hardware is fine. When I got with Apple support, the rep seemed impressed with all I had tried. He had me duplicate the problem and send him a report of my machines specs etc. When the man ran out of ideas, I was escalated to a Software Specialist who like the first help agent had never seen this behavior. Ultimately, they had me download a diagnostic software that reports everything that is happening on my computer while I duplicated the issue. This report is now in the hands of the Software Engineers. Apple is supposed to get back with me in 3-5 days when they find out what is going on. The machine in question is a last generation iMac G5 20" isight. 2.1GHz with ram maxed at 1.5Gig. Any thoughts here would be much appreciated. Thanks
