Hi,
When I open iPhoto, the application comes up with an empty window (no photos appear) and beach balls permanently. This has been happening for about 3 days
I looked at my library all my photos are in there.
I tried opening another iPhoto library with another user account and that works fine.
I tried using a previous version of the iPhoto application which I recovered from time machine but it still beach balls.
I also tried repairing permissions on my Hard Drive but that didn't help.
I seem to remember this happening once before: I used Time Machine to rescue my iPhoto library back up from the day before when the beach balling started. If memory serves correctly, that worked.
My only concern is that my HD isn't big enough for me to keep both versions of my library on it at once, so if anything goes wrong, I'll be in trouble!

Furthermore; in time machine, it says that my most recent iphoto library backup is only 4.9GB, whereas my active iPhoto library is about 120GB - presumably this is because Time Machine is only backing up changed files - but if I restore from the 4.9 GB backed up library will time machine also reach back and restore ALL my photos from previous backups, or will I lose that stuff?
Help is appreciated.
