I like the way iPhoto is set up. But i do not like how it stores the pictures. I want a software where when i need to get the pic's i go to the folder and they are all there in the original form and ready to be dragged and dropped to something else.

Does anyone know of a software to do this?

Please help. I keep losing photo's when i restore my computer.

Thanks.

Check out Adobe's Lightroom.

There's also picassa though I never used or tried that.

You can certainly drag and drop photos from within iPhoto to wherever you want them. Just do it from within the app and you will automatically get the latest version of the photo. Stay out of the library in finder -- iPhoto takes care of all your needs from within the app itself.
