Hi all,
I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro and went from 80gb hard drive to 500gb (woohoo!). As a result I would like to transfer my iPhoto originals off of my external hard drive and back onto the internal one.
On my old computer, I kept the iPhoto Library file on my computer, and had it reference the originals on my external drive. (I chose not to copy them to the iPhoto Library so I could keep my own organizing structure.)
Now that I have the iPhoto Library and the originals in the same place, it is having a hard time recognizing where the originals are. When I try to open up a photo, it tells me the volume cannot be found, and gives me an option to find the photo's new location. This works, but obviously I don't want to do this for all the 10,000 photos in my library. Is there a way to show iPhoto where the Originals have landed without having to do it one by one? Even event by event would be ok.
Thanks for your help!
