Hello. Have got into a right mess. Upgraded an old iMac for a mac mini. On the old iMac the photos were in an Aperture library and iPhoto.

As I have copied the photos over I have lost all my albums and some of the photos.

Is there a simple way of ensuring I have all photos and movies and a way of preserving old album structures.

I don't have the old mac, the photos are in loads of sub folders in a couple of hard drives. There are about 20,000 photos.

Any advice would be good.

Also as I still have aperture and iPhoto I wonder how best to set up. Obviously aperture I can do more in but I find iPhoto a nicer front end for the family. Can they be used together elegantly?
