iPhoto 5.0.2 has been running smoothly on both my iMac G5 2nd rev (running Tiger) and iBook G4 (running Panther). Today, however, I accidently moved my Library on the iMac but quickly restored it. Nevertheless, I can't view my albums anymore nor can I import new pictures because iPhoto warns

Can not import following files; file type is not recognized

Now these same pics are easily imported in iPhoto on my iBook. I've tried uninstalling iPhoto on my iMac and cleaned all remaining iPhoto-files with Spotlight, reinstalled iPhoto and did the 5.0.2. update but this the problem persists: I can't view my albums and import photo files, whether in JPEG, JPG, BMP format. These same pictures can be viewed with any other photo software, so clearly I believe something's at fault with OSX/iPhoto software. Now it's just a question of finding out what; any help is greatly appreciated :)
