Hi all,
My wife recently got a macbook, and she wanted all of our digital images on it (and I'm always happy to have another copy of them!), so I opened file sharing on my iMac and her macbook. I copied the files to the drop box in her public folder from my iMac, and then opened iPhoto on her macbook and imported them into iPhoto.
The problem is that I had a few short video clips that were taken with a digital camera in there, and iPhoto recognizes them as videos, but it won't play them. Quicktime reports them as clips that are zero seconds long (when they should be thirty second clips). What happened in the transfer?
I realize that there are other ways for me to move the videos to her macbook, so I don't need advice on how to do that. Rather, I'm looking for an explanation as to what happened so I can avoid similar mistakes in the future.
Any input is sincerely appreciated!
