Is Lightroom better and FASTER than iPhoto?
I use iPhoto 06, i got 6000 photos in my library and its pretty slow actually. When i open one photo in full screen and scroll my photos with the arrows iphoto is slow, and iam getting "loading" all the time. About 2-3 secs to move to the next picture. The pictures are about 2.2MB each and my system is a powerbook G4 1.67 with 1.5GB ram.
Is this normal? Is iPhoto slow or my mac?

Anyone that tried Lightroom. Is it faster than iPhoto?

Yes, but I use both. They are two very different monsters.
I used iPhoto for all my point n shoot, emailing, downloading from email from the folks, good time pics. And it works GREAT!!!
I use Lightroom, for my DSLR 12MB 300+ pics per shoot. It works like nothing else IMO for streamlining PP.
If I have some lightroom pics that I want to email the folks, I can drag right from the browser into iPhoto, it'll import it and then I can very easily email.
I think together they are great, but I wouldn't give one up for the other.
