iPhoto:where are my movies located?

hello

i recently imported some videos from my camera to iphoto.

the videos are there in the library etc but when i try to locate them and open them in the finder i.e. the root folder they are called the same but the file is a .jpeg not .avi or .mov file??

i can double click on them and open from iPhoto but can't seem to copy and paste them from the application..?

is this possible?

how can i find the original movie file if deleted from my camera already?

You can't copy and paste like you can in windows (thankfully). Just drag and drop the movie from iPhoto to your desktop so now you have a copy of the file to play with.

To get to the original movie files you need to go into Pictures/iPhoto/

My guess is there should be a movies folder in there (like iTunes). I have movies in iPhoto too but have never messed around with the 'backend' of iPhoto, iTunes etc. (I just let them get on with it).

The movie.jpeg my guess would be the screenshot icon for your movie?

It took me a while to get used to iPhoto and iTunes managing my stuff. Before I used to get problems (because I kept messing with it) now I let them get on with it and haven't been in the finder folders for years. Thats why I can't remember if there is a movies folder.

I have around 800GB of iTunes and iPhoto stuff too.
