Anybody else use iPlayer Downloads? I've noticed frames being dropped, jerky playback and occasional audio clicks and pops. I've submitted the problem to the BBC and they've been active in looking into it, but haven't actually tested on a 1.1 GHz rMB, which is what I have. Streaming from the iPlayer website is fine, as is playback of movies downloaded from iTunes, so I think it is something specific to iPlayer Downloads.

The downloads use a different DRM to the streaming player, but there is no chance of the downloads changing to it because it doesn't support timed expiry.

The odds are that the Macbook simply isn't fast enough to decode full screen video protected by Playready. iTunes downloads are easier for the machine as the OS has dedicated hardware decryption support for Fairplay DRM.
