Both UK based apps are working reallly well on the iPad now. Iplayer for steaming previosly aired UK shows, and TVCathup for streaming almost every available UK TV Station live.

The catch is, for those of us in the US, we need to connect to a UK VPN, as these are UK only sites. The content is great, and the performance is flawless with a solid VPN connection. But, because it IS streaming, it needs a good VPN.

I am on a search for the best UK VPN at the lowest price possible. Anyone with experience with these?

I've used UKiVPN.com for quite some time now. Remember cheapest doesn't necessarily mean quality. Ukivpn has been very consistent for me.

Have any of you who use a VPN used it to stream ABC or Hulu from outside the US? How was the quality?

Help me on this one please. How do you get the app from the other country? If I'm in the US, how do I get the BBC iplayer?

Update;

I researched and finally bought from 12vpn.com Have been testing it exhaustively/constantly since yesterday, and it has been FLAWLESS. After extensive web searches, and several free trials, I settled on them for the following reasons:

1. VERY competitive price (30/yr for 10GB/month soft cap).
2. Servers in both US & UK (and elsewhere).
3. Great VPN software for Mac, PC, AND iPad.
4. Customer service is AMAZING. Some of my emails (both pre and post sale) were answered in minutes.
5. Can connect to/use Mac/PC and iPad/iPhone simultaneously.

As I write this, I am watching BBC Proms showing a wonderful concert from London. I have my PC connected to iplayer hooked up to my TV. Looks GREAT. Happy camper! :D

Any questions about this service, VPN, or watching foreign TV, feel free to ask.
