?I realize that this issue has come before, but as yet I have not seen any viable solution to it.

All of a sudden, after several months, my 3G, which is not using a SIM card i.e. no carrier and is jailbroken/unlocked using version 4.1 (8B117), stopped connecting to any wifi networks/hotspots etc. It does not even search for them let alone connect to them. My WiFi network at home is unprotected! I have not upgraded to any new firmaware. The setting on my home WiFi router and modem have not changed. My Samsung Vibrant has no problem connecting to WiFi at home or at any free hotspots?
WiFi details on my phone: 00:25:00:8C:BC:65
I have soft rebooted the phone several times and reset network settings to no avail.
If it is a hardware problem, I do not think an Apple store will fix it, as the phone is jailbroken/unlocked and has never been registered with a carrier in Europe or the USA. Are there any other sources to undertake such a repair
