iPod touch iPod 2G gives sync error

I have updated to the newest iTunes and iPod software. When I sync my iPod Touch, it gives an error (-50 sync error) or something similar and won't sync. There is plenty of space on my iPod. I tried restoring it, and got the same problem.

Any ideas??
