iPod touch iPod 3,1 spotted in 3.0 firmware

yep looks like indications of 3rd gen iPod have been spotted in the 3.0 firmware.

iPod Touch 1g - iPod1,1
iPod Touch 2g - iPod2,1
iPod Tough 3g? - iPod 3,1??

September is a likely date for a release, since that was last year's debut, but did anyone think there wasn't going to be an updated product? Even Microsoft hedge it's bet by early announcement of the Zune HD.
