So my friend is an idiot and long story short, her iPod went flying out the sun roof at 60 MPH. Now it is stuck in disk mode. When I put it on the firewire it says "OK to disconnect" it charges, but thats it. The computer doesn't recognize it at all. Then when I hook it up using USB, nothing happens. I'm thinking dead HD. Does anyone have any input/help?

hahaha! How did it land?? Probably a head crash of some type.

If it landed in a tube of feathers, I dont know...on brick...its probably "broken" in general.

i have an old 4g ipod in the same state more or less, i'd be interested to see in any problem resolution outside of paying for repair - i don't need it that badly.
