Yesterday I got the sudden urge to do something different to my iPod 5.5 G (video). I decided I would go ahead and hack it. I looked up all the hacking website I could (iPod Wizard, iPod hacks) but when I searched for my questions online, I didn't find any, so here goes:

So I've far, I've come across iPod hacking software but only for Windows. Are there any Mac alternatives?

And if I absolutely have to have a Windows (which I do, but I sync it through Mac version of iTunes), can I only hack/break it on Windows and continue to sync my songs through the Mac? The reason I say this is because I have XP installed via Bootcamp and there's not a lot of harddrive space for me to shift my entire music collection onto the Windows partition.

So yeah >< I haven't been very enlightened about the hacking process of the iPod. I have heard a lot about jailbreaking the iPod Touch and the Iphone but is this a Windows-only thing again?

Thanks much! =)

are you sure ipodwizard doesnt work on mac?

I was really big into hacking my 5.5g it was awesome. I suggest ipodlinux and put iboy on there pronto.

nothing like playing gameboy on an ipod.
