iPod 80 gig Classic stuck in Connected screen

My iPod will not turn off or sync with my iMac. All it has on the screen is "Connected, Eject before disconnecting." I restarted the computer and still no change. The iPod will not turn off. What can I do? MC

I got it working by pressing Menu and select for ten seconds and it reset. I do not why it froze up. Mc

You might try resetting it using the menu-select combination, just press both and wait for ten seconds. If nothing happens your next best bet is to simply unplug the ipod and let the battery drain till nothing shows up, and try synching again.[/QUOTE]
