Ipod and Mac

I have an iPod formatted with windows, will i be able to use this normally with a mac?

what about the opposite? if i reformat it with mac, will i be able to use it with windows?

Most of the time... but they can be reformatted and not always work

I had one flash-drive type unit, a Creative mp3 player, that wouldn't work on my son's Mac until I plugged it into my Windows machine at work. I did something to it there, don't remember exactly what (maybe even just opened and then ejected it), but then it worked fine.

The important thing to remember about flash drives, is that when you erase the contents, you have to empty the trash on the computer before you eject the drive. Otherwise, the files still take up space.
