iPod touch iPod app won't function

I have an iPod touch 4g running iOS 5. When I am in the iPod app, the controls do not work. The time running bar is not frozen, and the album art flops when you turn the iPod, but I can not press pause, change a song, volume, or go to my playlists. I did a restore last week because I wasn't happy with the jailbreak for iOS 5 and this is the first and only problem I've had with it since the restore. I have not tried rebooting or anything like that so I guess I'll try that now. Any help is appreciated.
