iPod Backlit Screen Problem

Sorry I don't know where to put this as I have an old iPod and not a touch as well as this being the "Help" thread.

I have a 5th Generation iPod video that has been working great. Unfortunately the backlight screen is messed up as there are black pixel lines being shown in some areas of my iPod.

To see what I mean -

I'm wondering if there is a way to fix this?

Expired a LONG time ago.

Remember this is a 5th Generation iPod.

I really don't think this is a software issue but yeah.

Well, if the restore didn't fix it, its definitely hardware then. Depending on your level of comfort with tinkering, iFixit's guide for replacing the display is an option as is their parts. Paid services such as FastMac and RapidRepair and even PowerBook Medic are some other options open to you. This is by no means a comprehensive list, I am just offering these service options.
