If I were to leave the iPod in its cradle all day and only take it out when its needed, does this affect its internal battery life. Im usually the sort of person which drains the battery life down and then charge it up again. Thanks

i think that discharging it more completely is a better idea, not because of the long-dead battery memory effect, but because the battery is rated to a certain number of charges (before it dies)... i don't know if partial charges count, but i'm not taking any chances... only charge it when needed :)

I've found that keeping batteries charged up as often as possible usually helps with its overall battery life...this has been especially true of my PowerBook, it seems like I almost gained a half hour in battery performance over time and I keep the power cord almost always plugged in.
