I recently bought a new 30G iPod, burned Cds onto my computer, put them on my ipod and deleted the cds to save space. I only recently realized that my battery life is short. It only lasts about 3.5 to 4 hours and it only takes about 2 hours to fully recharge when dead when it should take 4.5. Was just wondering if anyone elses has had this problem. I was told by and apple store employee that I should "kill" it with disk utility and charge it from dead. Any comments would be of help.

Unless it will cause you undue stress, I would go ahead and do what the Apple guys says, chances are it's just a bug in the battery sensor (thinks it's full when it's not).

Just make sure you put the song back onto your computer first! :D
