iPod Blues

My car was stolen this past weekend. Yes, she -- my beautiful iPod companion -- was in the car. I'm devastated, hurt, and extremely pissed that this @$$hole not only got my car but also my year old 5 gig.
Natural instinct tells me to drive the hour and visit the Apple Store to purchase a new one, but I have a question (the usual question)...

You think any new iPod updates will me released in the next couple months, several months maybe even?

i would wait for firewire 2 iPods to hit the market in 2003.

Yea, I guess I could wait for Firewire 2, but I was looking for enhancements in the screen, wireless technology and maybe improvement in battery life.

I just might go out and buy the ten gig...I can't take the quite on my runs -- need the Rocky theme fro motivation

I would wait until the beginning of next year.

Well....I just bought a new one, after seliing my original. But I would wait.
