Recently picked up an Ipod a1019 2nd gen touchwheel, but it has no charger, only an aftermarket 6-pin-to-6-pin firewire cable. A few questions:

Is the a1070 firewire charger compatible with the 2nd gen model (I'm thinking they might be the same)?

Can a 6-pin-to-4-pin firewire cable be used to sync the 2nd gen to a laptop that only has a 4-pin firewire port?

Can an adapter or cable with a 6-pin-female-firewire-to-male-USB be used to sync instead?

Thanks!

The A1070 is perfectly fine to use and IIRC was the very one included with the first and second gen iPods. You can use a 4-pin to 6-pin adapter for syncing (but not charging) and in fact Apple also included one with the second gen models that were preformatted for Windows PCs.
