Hey everyone

I´m sort of planning to buy the newest one (120 GB) but can Coverflow be disabled like on the iPod Nano?

TIA

The iPod classic doesn't have an accelerometer that allows you to go into cover flow. The album artwork is only displayed on the album list and when playing a song that has had album artwork already attached to it. This is also again assuming that you enabled/disabled displaying of the artwork by selecting the name of the iPod in the iTunes source list and then going to the Music tab to the right, and clicking or de-selecting "Display album artwork on your iPod".

As has been mentioned, the classic does not have an accelerometer so the screen does not change at all if the iPod is placed on it's side. To elaborate on what the previous poster said, there is instead an option in the "Music" menu to open Cover Flow. You will never, ever enter cover flow unless you manually select to open it from the menu itself.

Thanks guys, I bought one (classic, 120 gb, BLACK), and it´s great.

But I guess I should´ve waited for when they release an iPod Touch with more memory (hard drive). But I love this iPod and already purchased some games with it ^^
