Sarcasmville.
To everyone who has an iPod classic, we are all familiar with how it stays on when it is connected to the computer. It doesn't display any useful information while it sits there. So I'm proposing the idea that Apple should make some built in functions that allow the iPod to display from the connected computer.

I would do some mockups but i'm terrible at that without PS in front of me. But I'm sure you guys get the idea ;)

The most obvious apps:
- current iTunes track information
- date/time (the CURRENT time)/calendar (to do items, calendar events, new mail)
- rss feeds
- computer running information (temps, memory usage etc.)
- or modified widgets?

Just a thought

...and what kind of video were you hoping to get from an USB cable

Video? Not the medium I was considering. More like a little feature built into iTunes which just passes information to the iPod like every second (or updates as needed)
