I am gonna buy an iPod classic (120 GB) around new year probably. What color should I choose?:p

I will put it in an green sleeve thing (beautiful!) by the way.

Personally I would go with black but its totally up to you!

Btw, its not really white but a more silver colour.

I have had both. Personally, I probably prefer black, attractive timeless aesthetic, and all of that. However, when I recently bought a refurb 80GB in a hurry - I was travelling abroad for several months a day or so later and I had no option but to buy a silver model as the black was not available at such short notice - I have come to really like it hugely as it is such a superb iPod (great capacity, excellent battery). So, performance is what matters at the end of the day. However, it's your call.

Cheers and good luck

Definitely go with the black. They're not glossy anymore, and the glossy white looked way better than the brushed silver.

Unless you're only into music, I'd recommend an iPod Touch. No, you don't get the extra 90 or 100 GB of storage, but all that other crap is so darn cool. If you want to play portable games, you'll thank me. :)

I speak of this as an iPhone and former iPod 5G owner. You get over the limited storage space VERY quickly.

I readily accept that the other stuff is "so darn cool" but the classic still has it's fans, and I count myself among them. Anyway, as I am into music, the extra storage is necessity, rather than luxury, and I am not really interested in any other function on an iPod. For me, it's all about music. However, storage is not the only advantage of the iPod classic; the excellent battery is also another advantage. My 80GB lasts days - as long as I am not playing it continuously - and gives hour after hour of music on one charge.

Cheers and good luck

I'd go with the black, but it's not really black anymore (compared to the 80/160), more of a gun metal.

I am mostly into music and need at least 30 GB, which you don't get on a iTouch? Or way more expensive.. I might play a game on it incidentically (@school or train), but more because I'm bored then because I need it.

Thanks for all the comments. Looks like it's pro black here..

do you really need all that 30GBs? my friend bought a 32Gb touch, he was worried about space when he has like about 50 songs. so he downloaded everything in sight, and filled it up, and now complains about how slow the restore/back up/sync is... seriously just take what you need or let Genius help you out.

I don't have like 50 songs, I have like 3000 songs, so yes I do need that space.

Winamp says I have more than 20 GB of music and still have to add some more stuff to the library (of course I am talking only about music files here).

I bought the black classic yesterday :)

and to whoever in here who said go with the touch,
some people just don't like the full touch thing (im one of them)
..and the nano has little storage/not my style

Colorware

Just because you went and paid the huge premium to get one doesn't mean everyone wants one, although I will adm colour it some of the schemes are damn awesome...

PS Black iPod Classic, I personally don't like the black iPods, although I kinda like the black classics,

You mean black or silver.

When I got my Classic I chose silver.
It stood out and not many other people choose it.
I also just love the color silver.
