I recently plugged my iPod Classic 6th gen into my Mac to sync music, and it does not show up in iTunes. I have the most up to date iTunes & Mac software. When I called Apple, they said the iPod classic is now obsolete and it is impossible to sync with the newest iTunes software. Is this true? If not, how can I get my iPod to appear?

Thank you.
