I was watching Pulp Fiction on my brothers 5th gen ipod and didn't really like the quality. too dark almost and i know the classic wont fix this but the screen was almost too small. i was wondering if the classic's screen is much better than the 5th gen or if i should go for the classic next month.

The 5.5 gen screen is brighter then the 5G screen, and I'd assume that Apple put in the same or better screen, so at the very least it will appear brighter. I think it's also a higher resolution, but don't quote me on that.

No its the same resolution, but I have heard that the new classic's are sporting LED backlit screens, and are just as bright as the 5.5 gen if not more.

iPods, since the first generation, have used LED backlit screens. The backlight in pretty much every handheld device is LED. :)
