iPod Classic Updates soon?

My current 2 gig nano is full and I need a new iPod and I am looking to get the 80 gig classic. Is there likely to be update in by the end of the summer (septemberish)? What would theses updates include? Cheaper? More memory? Better battery life? Should I get one now or wait?
