My 40GB iPod Click Wheel after 2 years has died, it is considered out of warranty now that the Applecare expired last month.

If I picked up an iPod video, does my dock, charger, line out cable, etc work for the audio or do I need to dump into a bunch of new docks (two locations) and power chargers, etc? I can't seem to find any information on this.

Anyone Know?

Same thing happened to me.

Apple has kept the dock connector the same.

Your dock will still work, it just won't be as snug. (i have a 40GB 4G dock and my 60GB 5G fits fine).

line-out from the dock should still work for audio, but maybe not for video (i haven't tried).

Your power charger will still work, even with your old FW cable. The 5Gs will still charge over FW, but you need the USB cable to sync.
