ipod could not be restored

when i try to restore my ipod it says: ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occured [1604].

idk what to do it wont let me restore my ipod touch

what version of iTunes do you have? What v. Are you trying to restore? From what?

There should be some sort of special thing when this SAME EXACT QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED 2,000 TIMES!

You need to force it into DFU mode and it will work. NO MATTER WHAT, it WILL work.

Try a different:

a) USB Port
b) Computer

Or upgrade iTunes
