I feel like a complete idiot for not being able to figure this out, but I've searched forever in the documentation and online and haven't been able to find an answer:
How is it possible to play music through the line out port on the dock? Now, I can get it to do it...but ONLY if I disconnect the power/data cable. It seems to me this completely negates the purpose of the dock as anything other than a place to prop your iPod (mine's a Mini). While the data cable is plugged in, the only thing I can get the controls to do is reset the iPod. I can't understand not playing music while data is being transferred, of course, but just while charging?
Maybe I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and sooth my poor deflated ego.
