iPod Dock + MBP Infared Problem

Hey,

I have a MBP and a 5th gen Ipod set up next to eachother.
The problem is that when I use the mbp remote control to play iTunes, it activates my iPod..

Is there any way to disable the infared part on the iPod dock? I dont really want to use it.. and I use the mbp remote quite alot!

that would be the absolute final option.. It looks lovely here at the moment.. I dont want to go and stick a blob of duct tape on there!

You can lock the remote to the MBP but I think that just locks it at the MBP end, not the remote end...
