Ok,so basically I was eating cereal, and my ipod touch 2G fell in it.

The Ipod still works but theres a problem. The whole screen is white. It still acts like a normal ipod, turning on with the power button, locking with the lock button, but the screen is white so I don't know whats going on or what i'm doing.I tried doing the rice trick but that didn't help.

So please,advice? :)

it sounds like the clip between the logic board and screen is damaged.

if he turned it off, submersed it in warm water, rinsed it then dryed it for 2 weeks in a bag of rice it could fix it... Don't hold me to that though cause im drunk and proabably posting crap:p

You may be drunk, but I am willing to try that.

I put my G3 nano through the washer twice (accidentally). After letting it dry on a warm surface, for a couple days, there was no impact. That was a b/w LCD screen.

Ipod in milk

I dropped half of my ipod into some cereal the other day. All seemed well until the speaker sound did not work. I tried turning to work out why but no clue. Luckily the headphone sound still worked! Anyways i turned it on and offf and it picked up the adjustment volume level bar but still no sound. I am fine with it not working but if you leave the sticky stuff on the screen it breaks!

Didn't drop my iPod in a bowl of milk :)) ) but I have a Classic laying around for 2 years now since the battery died out and the headphones jack started having problems. Very useful guide, I might try to mess around with it - nothing to lose there since it's been collecting dust anyway.
