how come there is no specific iPod forum area with individual sub-areas
just like what was setup for the iPhone...

I've moved this into Site and Forum Feedback... :)

When the iPod forum was first started, we didn't have the huge range of iPods we have now. And perhaps because the range has expanded and changed far beyond what was first imagined, perhaps putting sub-forums into place would have meant changes every few months.

What sub-forums do you think there should be?

I would say Shuffle/Nano, Classic, Touch. And another forum for old skool.

But then what if a user wants to post about multiple iPods? Also, how would that affect people that post for reasons of syncing, errors, or iTunes queries that are often applicable to other iPod models?

Here's what I think:

iPod General Discussion (Errors, Rumors)
iPod Shuffle/Nano
iPod Classic
iPod Touch
Older iPods

Yay? Nay?
