I have a question of the newer updated ipods with video

How much longer battery life is there, and I mean in terms of music

I know its supposed to have increased, but I wonder if any of you guys have actually tested the newer one

And I remember when I had my Gen 5 Video Ipod, it would lag, and when I mean lag I mean it would take time to go back and forth to the menu, artists, albums, photos, etc..

Is the newer ipod more responsive?

Thanks

Don't know about the lag issue but I would expect there to be a little lag - it's a HDD remember, not a flash-based nano, these things take a second to spin up.

The battery life for music isn't reported by Apple to have been increased, only in video playback due to more efficient management of the screen. iLounge and Macworld have in-depth reviews of battery life and comparisons between the 5G and 5.5G.
