iPod touch iPod gets stuck while backing up data

My iPod takes a while to 'back up' on itunes, then it says something about not being able to load class data. When I click my device and select music, it freezes
How can I fix this?

Its a problem with your photos backups, delete the ipod photo cache and then re-install your photos, it will create a new cache and everything will work fine after that. I had the same problem once I updated to 5.0
