This day i was playing gpSPhone and hetn battery run out... i thought it was battery but when i plug it in my pc it say its inrecovery mode and needs to be restored, so I restored it and sync all again, then jailbreak again.

This time battery run out so i plug it in and it say its in recovery mode and needs to be restored, this time instead of hit restore and update i tried to jailbreak it again and then i hit restore... and what happened is that it was like a quick sync it didnt fully restore like the last time, I still have the game save files from gpSPhone.....

Anyway why is this? And why the first time it happened i had to add all the music again to the ipod and i lost the game files ( saves ) from gba and the 2nd time it was just like a sync and i still had the data saves from gba

If you have an ipod you bought new this year after September, and you jailbroke it using blackra1n, it will go into recovery mode each time the power rans out or you shut it off for any reason, and you'll have to run blackra1n again in order to get it to start up. The first time, you restored through iTunes, which wiped your iPod and you had to start all over again as if you had just brought it home from the store. The second time, you ran blackra1n, which is what you're supposed to do, and it just started up your iPod again and all your apps, media and data were still there.

As of now, there isn't a untethered jailbreak out for the iPod Touch 3G yet. Chronic Dev seems to have found a breakthrough sometime back though.

Yeah i bought it like 2 weeks ago its an ipod 2g (8gb ) jailbreak with black rain version 3.1.2

So what u mean is that everytime i shut it down it goes into recovery mode
and to get all the data instead of sync it again i have to just run blackra1n like i did the 2nd time instead of restore it?

Exactly.

On the other hand, you shouldn't need to shut it down that frequently. Just watch your battery levels, and charge it before the battery runs out. I can keep mine going for weeks without having to power off or reboot. Probably could keep it going forever, if not for all the experimental jailbreak stuff I can't resist trying!

I never shut it off, but after the first time i've tried to let it sleep when its at 10% until i charge the battery again but the 2nd time a friend was using it until battery died...
