What exactly does this mean. It has happened twice to me. Seems like a self repair? Is this bad ? Hardware dammage?

Anywase the Apple iPod Tech guys r so out of it he had no idea what I was talking about. Thanks

It is a hardware problem. Your hard drive is "Slipping" it is looking and trying to read information. It's that easy.

Huh? What are you talking about. This is a normal disk scan that the iPod performs when it feels it's necessary.

Apple has a lot this basic information on there support site though if you want more detailed user end information I find that www.ipodlounge.com is the place to go for any and all iPod questions.
