Which one. Before I get to far into this encoding stuff which setting should I start with.

I want cartoons only for the iPhone but also want to watch it on a tv. I do these encodes at 1500 but I'm not sure if these two settings are the same or slightly different.
 
I encoded both and found this out.

The iPod High-Rez works well with the iPhone. The preset equals: 640x480,

While the iPhone format at 1500 Kbps looks comparable but the preset also equals this: 480x368.

Both look good but I noticed the colors were more full, deeper, brighter with the iPod high-rez. I don't think anyone would know the difference unless you ran the same exact cartoon at the same time side by side.

I used Looney Toons Golden Collection Vol 1 Disc 1 first episode. I would suggest to others to stick with iPod High-Rez for your cartoon collection.
